4th day Sanya

Finally paid for a better breakfast.
It's a funny thing that this hotel have two classes of breakfast - one to the local, and one international. I didn't know there are double standard treatment when I booked the hotel online.

Roamed the streets. Seeing ladies tending their nutmeg stall. Apparently the locals loves nutmeg, especially cab drivers.

Their shopping area. Feels alot like Bugis in Singapore. Lots of small shops.

Had lunch at this cafe "Coffee Time" Food is not bad. And we had the rose tea which taste like hot "bandung"

After lunch, we venture Dadonghai beach. It is another nice beach, unlike Sanya beach which is quiet and less bustling. Anyway after looking at the three beaches in Sanya, would say most beaches look alike :) But I am sad to say the Chinese do not manage beaches as well as Thai's, Indo's, or Msians.

Our simple dinner again.

Took the boat ride for the countdown. It's really cold as I wasn't prepared for the cooler temperature at night.
I was in shorts and tank top the whole day. :) Almost frozed.... :)

After that we returned to our hotel. Surprised the beach came alive. Oh, actually the Russians have an event there for the countdown to 2010.

We had our own celebration and bought fire-works to let off. :) It was our 1st time as letting off fireworks is illegal in Singapore.

It was a great experience.
And a nice ending to 2009, and a warm welcome to 2010. :)

3rd Day Sanya

This is the Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise forest park.
They have the electronic tourist map to guide you, in case you are lost.

There are alot of different breeds of Orchid. Alot similar to Singapore botanical gardens.

This is rather similar to our tree top walk from Macritchie reservoir, just that this is higher.

Had lunch near the Yalong Beach area.

Yalong beach. Nicer than Sanya beach. There are more foreigners staying here. The hotels here are more up-class too.

Had my portrait drawn this time round. Resembles me.

Went to Nantian Hotspring, where they shoot Miss Universe one of the years :)

Love the outdoor hotspring here. Can just lie and sleep there for hours.

We had dinner at our of the local "zhi char" similar type of restaurant.
Food is so-so, price is cheap though.
Realised we are not seafood fans, so didnt really order seafood. We just wanted simple meal.

2nd Day - Sanya, 1st time trying scuba diving

Woke up really early @ 6.20am.
Could not sleep in a foreign bed :)

Got the same driver to bring us around today for RMB50 - Was a steal!
We are going to their famous "Xi Dao" to try scuba-diving :)

The driver will picked us up at 10.30am.
So after breakfast, we still had time to venture around the hotel and beach area.

We reached Xidao by speedboat.
Paid entrance fees of RMB260 for 2pax.
It is like tioman island, clearer water than Sanya beach area.

We decided to try scuba-diving.
Was apprehensive at first, but eventually still tried.
Cost RMB1160 for 2 pax.

Paid another RMB20 for locker and RMB20 for new mouthpiece for diving.
Had a mere 5-30 seconds briefing and we went off...

Another money-making for them.
We paid RMB700 for 6 photos and 20 mins video taken of us :)

The water was not as clear as Tioman, so a little disappointed.

The shower facilies were very lousy.
And had to pay RMB30 to get 2 small towel and 2 small packet of shampoo/shower gel.
The shower room was like our public toilet with no door.

And the most ironic thing was I heard some other chinese from other parts like Shanghai/Beijing talking bad about them.

We made a tshirt portrait of Sam.
He said it looked ugly and do not like it.
I decided not to draw one :)

Left the place around 3.30pm and proceed to "Tian Ya Hai Jiao"
