Shanghai上海 - Nougatine - Sam's bd dinner

This casual dining chain Nougatine is under Jean Georges.
The whole restaurant is very dark. Maybe that's supposed to be romantic, but too dark for my liking.
And the whole restaurant was isolated.
There were only two of us dining around the casual dining area. :)

Disappointed with the food, it's really nothing to shout about.
Our Valentine's dinner at Casa 13 was very much better.
And for the price, I do not think it's worth it.

They prepared a special dessert for Sam and wrote Happy Birthday in French (i hoped, caused I googled and didn't get the exact interpretation :)

Shanghai 上海 - Walking around before bd dinner for Sam

Krispy Kreme in Shanghai.
When we walked into the shop, they gave both of us the original donut complimentary.
I found it very sweet, no wonder I don't really like donuts.

This is raffles city, managed by Capital Land.
This place felt like Singapore.
There are familiar shops like Breadtalk, Osim, Charles and Keith, Food Republic, Bee Hiang Cheng, G2000 etc.

Walking to the Bund area, near the restaurant I am bringing Sam for his birthday dinner. The only two dinners we lavished on this trip :)

Shanghai上海 - 小杨生煎

Shanghai 上海 - Green Massage

Took the Metro to Green Massage. Realised it's near to Langham Xintiandi.
The massages are reasonably priced and service was good.

Sam did the aroma oil massage while I tried Chinese traditional massage (2 hours)
Felt very recharged after that.

Shanghai 上海 - Vienna Cafe

Found a nice little hangout cafe at 绍兴路.

So, we cut cake for Sam there :) Happy 32nd birthday, dear!

Shanghai上海 - 绍兴路

Walking to 绍兴路 (haha, similar to Sam's mandarin name ShaoXing, but Sam's written differently 郭绍幸)

You can see people exercising at the Shaoxing park early in the morning, some strolling, some practising tai-chi, a little similar to the old folks in Singapore.

It's nice to see the daily lives of the people living in Shanghai.
